![]() This song sounds like a skater got access to a set of instruments and layed down a rhythm, but then a professional musician came in and did the vocals for the chorus and instrumentation. The instrumentation on this is very well done too. It also features a very beautiful and melodic chorus that's very refreshing to hear. This song just sounds like emotional anguish. Very good contrast of soft and aggressive sound. "Royal" is heavy and very emotional, both in terms of vocals and instruments. ![]() It sounds like falling in love with someone, or missing someone. Starting right off with "Diamond eyes" which is a powerful, melodic and romantic song. Every track on this record just has a raw power. Little did I know that when I saw that little owl boi that I'd be listening to one of the greatest masterpieces ever made. ![]() So the album ends pretty much where it started in a nice little loop, which I quite liked. It is, however, a lot more slow and melodic, and depressing, like a bad ending of a movie or video game, however the song itself is great. "Pink Maggit" is like an extension of the first song, which is also called "Mini Maggit". I'd listen to that one alot when I'm feeling down. "Change " is probably their saddest, most depressing song. "Passenger" is another melodic, slow track that features some nice vocals. I think it very fittingly captures the darkness that is life in North Korea, even if that's not what the song's about. "Korea" is a very atmospheric and dark track. "Knife prty" is one of their most iconic songs, just simply amazing. "Teenager" is a slow, melodic and depressing track that captures quite well the emotional struggles of being a teenager. "Elite" is just straight up heavy madness." "Rx Queen" is a haunting, bone chilling track that will give you goosebumps. ![]() "Digital bath" is a very calm and atmospheric track, one of their most unique, featuring some beautiful vocals and lyrics. Right off the bat we have "Back to school", sends me back to the days of feeling like an outcast at my old school. It perfectly captures the Deftones sound and has some of their most iconic songs. Ultimately white pony was the album that got me listening to Deftones. It was a very tough choice between this and the other one.
